This learning centre is located in a very remote village called Shyapuram where the conditions in the government run primary school is pathetic. No teacher stays on for more than a few months.

In response to the repeated requests from the Forest protection committee initiated by the Collective, it was decided to start running a learning centre in Shyapuram. Here academic classes are up to 5th standard after which children go to the government run high school in Kogira village nearby.

The children get quality academics and arts & crafts. Presently these children are not being provided any food but their health care is looked after well. The school is run in a house given by the villagers and there are efforts in creating a good infrastructure for children in this village.
