Coordinator – Women’s Programme at Timbaktu Collective (only women candidates accepted)

The Timbaktu Collective invites applications from women candidates only for the post of ‘Coordinator – Women’s Programme’. The incumbent is expected to oversee the Collective’s work with women, which encompasses support for four women’s thrift and credit Cooperatives with a total membership of 22,500 and a turnover of Rs.20 crore. The incumbent will provide leadership in domains such as capacity building, finance management, fundraising, communication, data management, and reporting. We offer a competitive salary at par with current standards for rural NGOs. The Collective operates in four mandals of Ananthapuramu District in Andhra Pradesh.

Candidate profile:

  • At least 3 years of programme management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector;
  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences;
  • Passionate about the empowerment of rural women;
  • Good understanding of financial and accounting systems;
  • Fluent in English and Telugu;
  • Willingness to relocate to a rural setting.

 1 Academic Coordinator & 1 Senior Teacher  – Prakruthi Badi (Nature School)

The Timbaktu Collective is looking for 1 Academic Coordinator and 1 Senior Teacher for the Prakruthi Badi (Nature School), a residential, alternative primary school for children from marginalised backgrounds. The prospective candidate must have a deep interest in working with children. Prakruthi Badi is located within the serene surroundings of the Timbaktu agro-forest habitat, which is 7km from the Chennekothapalli village in the Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh. We offer a competitive salary and other benefits.

Candidate profile:

  • Have either a  B.Ed degree or teaching experience;
  • Be a creative thinker who shows sensitivity while working with children;
  • Have the ability to teach multiple subjects and work as part of a team;
  • Be fluent in Telugu and English;

We are looking for a skilled Speech Therapist to work with children with disabilities as part of the Collective’s  ‘Militha’ programme on disability rights. The incumbent will report to the Coordinator – Militha programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess children with speech and hearing problems;
  • Provide home-based speech and hearing therapy;
  • Set and meet therapy-related targets for each child;
  • To stay updated with the latest developments in speech therapy;
  • Provide high-quality care and support.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Degree or diploma holder in Speech and Hearing Therapy with at least one year of experience;
  • Willingness to travel across three mandals of our working area;
  • Proficient in Telugu;
  • Willingness to relocate to a rural setting.

Physiotherapist  – Timbaktu Collective
