Unit Manager – Dharani FaM Coop  (only women candidates accepted)

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all HR matters of the Unit: performance monitoring, leave, hiring, capacity building etc. The Unit Manager will supervise all the staff in the assigned Unit;
  • Conducting team meetings and preparing minutes:
  • Implementation of Processing and Output plan;
  • Supervising procurement, storage, processing, packaging;
  • Ensuring that all accounts are up-to-date and ready for Audit;
  • Ensuring that all relevant legal compliances of the Unit are met;
  • Maintaining efficient systems for communications, accounting, and operations.

Note: The Unit Manager will be reporting to the CEO of Dharani FaM Coop.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Woman MBA/BBM/B.Com holder with at least two years of experience in managing an enterprise or small-scale business;
  • Strong leadership qualities and communication skills;
  • Proficient in English and Telugu;
  • Good documentation and computer skills;
  • Willingness to relocate to a rural setting.

Marketing Manager – Dharani FaM Coop (only women candidates accepted)

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of the marketing and sales plan in accordance with overall strategy and objectives;
  • Conducting market research as per the approved plan and design;
  • Conducting campaigns and developing communication material to promote products;
  • Organising sales in exhibitions, seminars, conferences, stalls etc;
  • Ensuring that packing, labels, promotional material are environmentally friendly;
  • Obtaining Fair Trade and other third-party certification;
  • Achieving sales targets and participating in periodic performance evaluations.

Note: The Marketing Manager will be reporting to the CEO of Dharani FaM Coop.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Woman MBA/BBM/other graduate with at least 5 years of experience in a sales and marketing role with a reputed company;
  • Willingness to travel to nearby towns and cities for 10-15 days a month;
  • Proficient in English (additional knowledge in Telugu/Kannada/Hindi preferred);
  • Good computer skills ;
  • Willingness to relocate to a rural setting.

Salary (both positions): as per current standards for rural non-profits. The salary is negotiable based on experience and skillsets.

About: Dharani Farming and Marketing Cooperative Limited (Dharani FaM Coop) is a producer-owned business enterprise promoted by the Timbaktu Collective in the Ananthapuramu District of Andhra Pradesh. It has 2,100 smallholder farmers as its members, with its products (millets, pulses, oilseeds) being sold under the brand name ‘Timbaktu Organic’. We are looking for qualified women candidates with an interest in working with smallholder farmers.


Coordinator – Women’s Programme at Timbaktu Collective (only women candidates accepted)

The Timbaktu Collective invites applications from women candidates only for the post of ‘Coordinator – Women’s Programme’. The incumbent is expected to oversee the Collective’s work with women, which encompasses support for four women’s thrift and credit Cooperatives with a total membership of 22,500 and a turnover of Rs.20 crore. The incumbent will provide leadership in domains such as capacity building, finance management, fundraising, communication, data management, and reporting.   • At least 3 years of programme management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector;

 1 Academic Coordinator & 1 Senior Teacher  – Prakruthi Badi (Nature School)

The Timbaktu Collective is looking for 1 Academic Coordinator and 1 Senior Teacher for the Prakruthi Badi (Nature School), a residential, alternative primary school for children from marginalised backgrounds. The prospective candidate must have a deep interest in working with children. Prakruthi Badi is located within the serene surroundings of the Timbaktu agro-forest habitat, which is 7km from the Chennekothapalli village in the Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh. Candidate profile:

  • Have either a  B.Ed degree or teaching experience;
  • Be a creative thinker who shows sensitivity while working with children;

We are looking for a skilled Speech Therapist to work with children with disabilities as part of the Collective’s  ‘Militha’ programme on disability rights. The incumbent will report to the Coordinator – Militha programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess children with speech and hearing problems;
  • Provide home-based speech and hearing therapy;
  • Set and meet therapy-related targets for each child;
  • To stay updated with the latest developments in speech therapy;
  • Provide high-quality care and support.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Degree or diploma holder in Speech and Hearing Therapy with at least one year of experience;
  • Willingness to travel across three mandals of our working area;
  • Proficient in Telugu;
  • Willingness to relocate to a rural setting.

Physiotherapist  – Timbaktu Collective
