You too
can participate in the Collective's activities.
There are many ways to get involved:
- Contribute Your Skills
Volunteer your services: Volunteer support is most welcome. You may do so on your weekends or on a longer-term basis or inbetween jobs. You can contribute your skills and work with children at the children's learning centres or at the resource centre, you can dibble seeds or plant trees during monsoon, you can help write reports or document our work, make short films on our work or good photographs, you can document the flora and the fauna in the protected areas, you can help in preparing and conducting surveys, and so on so forth. A critical need is office support by those who can communicate well in English (and preferably Telugu).
- Donate books, computers, lab equipment, games for the Childrens' Resource Centre
The Children's Resource Centre requires a lot of support. It is open almost 365 days a year and is available to all the children of the village. It needs books, computers, lab equipment, games equipment, cotton carpets (dharis), cupboards, table and chairs, craft equipment and so much more.
- Contribute financially
Raise funds
Help Build A Corpus Fund
Fund raising is a critical issue. Funding agencies and individuals within and outside the country form the backbone of the funding support for the work of the Collective. It also receives funding from Government agencies for specific projects. Since the Collective is wholly dependent on these sources to keep the work going, a lot of its efforts goes into raising these funds on a periodic basis.
In order to ensure this support, the Collective has setup a Corpus fund. The target as of now is Rs 1 crore. Interest from this will be used as an ensured funding source. Financially, this is the most crucial form of help that you can provide. You can donate generously, you can get others to donate generously.
You can contribute to the Corpus fund as a one time donation or as a periodic donation. When you send us a donation for the Corpus fund please do send us a letter stating that it should go to the Corpus fund.
If you would like to make a non-corpus financial donation, you are welcome to do so by sending the Collective a cheque/demand-draft. Please specify if you would like the money to be used for any specific program or whether you would like the Collective to make that decision.
