Road
Chennekothapalli (aka C.K.Palli) village is located 165 km north of Bangalore . It sits bang on the NH7 (National Highway 7) that connects Bangalore and Hyderabad . Chennekothapalli is 23 km north of Penukonda and 46km south of Anantapur. All APSRTC buses going to or from Bangalore to Anantapur, Gooty, Tadipatri or Kurnool , stop at Chennekothapalli. Some KSRTC buses do not. Neither do the buses from Bangalore to Hyderabad and vice versa. However, they usually stop if you request them, nicely and well in advance. On your arrival at Chennekothapalli, enquire with any establishment for directions to Timbaktu or to the new office of Timbaktu Collective at Chintavanam. Timbaktu is located about 5 km away from Chennekothapalli towards Bangalore on NH7. Look for the sign for Timbaktu on the side of the highway, and take the unpaved road off the highway. The Chintavanam office is about 2 km away from Chennekothapalli on the Hyderabad side of the highway. Again, look for the roadside sign.
